Fiber Gallery
Fiber. You can never have too much fiber in your life - whether it be in the kitchen, or the studio.
Pom-pom yarn animals. That's probably where the love of all things fiber began for Ann Harting (well, it was Pungitore back then). Scraps from her mom's knitting projects were a treasure! With her mom an accomplished seamstress, she and her sisters would sew clothes for their Barbie© dolls with beautiful leftovers from mom's projects. They were the best dressed dolls around! Her love of yarn never ceased - she is a self taught knitter & weaver.

Snow DyeingThis scarf was literally dyed with the snow from the backyard and powdered dyes. The worst part was waiting overnight for the snow to melt! Look at the at the 'snow' picture-I used 2 shades of blue to dye this scarf. I got a purple & green Scarf! That's art!

Shibori DyeingShibori is the Japanese method of folding, twisting and binding fabric to create unique colored patterns in the fabric. This scarf used a folding technique and a binding technique...with rocks! The fringe was hand-beaded, one bead at a time. The finished scarf 'ROCKS'!!!

Quilted TotebagThe front of this totebag is done in the 'quilt as you go' style. Strips of fabric are cut and sewn to batting and quilted literally 'as you go'. Pockets were added to the inside for stashing those little necessary items. The bag features a tie closure and decorative stitched straps.
